Tank inspections ensure that the tank is in a good condition.
Once the tank has been emptied and cleaned, Steeltank’s inspector will go through the tank internally and externally.
Checks will be made for corrosion of steel parts and welds. In addition, checks will be performed to ensure that the exterior surface treatment / cladding is intact.
Inspections are concluded with a report where material thickness measurements are compared with calculated values and conclusions drawn as to whether it is necessary to make repairs or conduct further examinations.
The tank inspection can be performed in accordance with the rules in EEMUA 159.
